The Apex 37 was totally redesigned for its 2011 release. We wanted a board that you could build your quiver around and still come back to as a staple 3 years later. Emphasis was placed on developing technologies that would create a board that had more strength, more durability and better performance than its predecessors. Sporting such radical design upgrades as Quad-axial custom angled fiberglass, Forged Carbon inlays, and hard freeriding rails, the new Apex 37 Carbon is truly the pinnacle of longboard technology.

Carbon For The Win

Forged Carbon technology is key to the composite sandwich that makes up the new 2011 Apex. Forged Carbon Bars are CNC’d and then dropped, with precision, into the custom woven quad-axial base. Additional Carbon layers are then added focusing strength to certain areas of the board and lending flex to others. The 2011 Apex is built to withstand the biggest drops, with no bottom outs. This also increases the weight ranges for each flex pattern, allowing heavier riders to ride boards that carve, without worrying about scraping their rails on the ground.

Increased Stomp Percentage

In addition to the use of advanced composites materials the Apex 37, we increased the concave and camber while also stiffening the deck to open up the next generation of freestyle / freeride possibilities, both on hill, and off. An increase in nose length by .7 inches on either side gives you more leverage to spin (and stomp) your hardest freestyle tricks while counter-sunk mounting brackets make sure your misses don’t thrash your hardware. Hop on the new Apex and feel the difference a longer nose, positive stiffness and exceptional torsional strength can make in your tricks’ stomp percentage.

Freeriding Future

Stepping into the future of freeride, we reset our shape and clearance and then gave the Apex 37 a hard rail edge for maximum leverage. That’s leverage that will pay dividends when top mounting trucks by Bear, Randal and Paris which will now be available for higher speed, freeride specific setups. Also, since we get our strength from our composite, not from a bamboo core, your deck will never sag no matter how far into the future it carries you.
